Noe jeg fant en fyr skrev på nettet:
Nobody compares to Bruce...especially not Jet Li. Pound for pound, there was never a better martial artist. From fight smarts, to martial arts philosophy, to the way martial arts fits into the world and into each individual...from speed, strength, power, accuracy, technique...there was never anybody better.
Bruce Lee was 5'6", 135 pounds, and could bench press 400 lbs...he could pick up and barbell with 120lbs on it and hold it straight out in front of him, elbows locking his arms straight, for 20 seconds. A construction worker took a construction hard hat with metal rods through it, hit it 5 times with a steel sledeghammer and couldn't budge it. Bruce punched it once and cracked it. What man his size can do those things, and be as athletic, quick, strong, powerful, intellectual and fight savvy? Nobody we've ever heard of...because there's never been anybody as good! At 18 years old, Bruce was going to tournaments to learn other styles, do exhibitions to show his way of fighting, challenge other fighters to prove his philosophies, and gain more knowledge while sharing his own. Even some of the grand masters and top instructors in the world, while he was 18, said he was the best martial artist they'd ever seen. How many times have you heard that about Jet Li? Even Jet Li said he can't compare to Bruce...so 'nuff said.
And no, Bruce never beat Chuck, and Chuck definitely never beat Bruce...but they were friends who sparred together, studied together, shared philosophies with each other, and truth be told, I can guarantee you the Chuck learned more from Bruce than Bruce learned from Chuck...so who's the teacher and who's the student? Chuck is a great martial artist and a great person, but overall, he's nowhere near the martial artist that Bruce was.
Grandmaster Jhoon Rhee even said that he would talk to Bruce about syles, philosophies and techniques, but he was afraid to spar with him, because Bruce was that good. Now you tell me if anybody compares to that...
