The Cholesterol Controversy
      By Vince Gironda

Doctors interested in prevention and treatment of cardio-vascular disease have long ago discarded the theory that animal fat is the cause of heart disease. This theory is an over-simplification, and has no solution.

The fact is that the Eskimos, the American Indians (the plain tribes), the trappers, the mountain men, and the French Canadian Vouragours, the African Masai (who drink three to four quarts of milk daily and eat huge quantities of meat), all have lower cholesterol counts. Last but not least, the African Pygmy has the lowest cholesterol yet recorded for adult men.

It is also a fact that hospital experiments show that people who are fed three dozen eggs per day, all have a lower cholesterol count than when they were put on the diet. I personally have yet to find a single bodybuilder who uses up to three dozen eggs per day, who has an elevated cholesterol count.
