Litt forandringer på konkurransen også, nå ser øvelsene slik ut:
FRIDAY 14th Sept - Clanree Hotel 7.30pm
1 - Dead-lift - This is a simple test of maximum power, lifting two huge axle wheels on a bar, rising
and rising in weight until just one competitor is left. No suits or power shorts. (Belts and knee wraps
are permitted)
2 - Conan’s Circle - using a quad bike in the circle - farthest distance wins. (320kg)
SATURDAY 15th - Letterkenny Town Park
3 - Carry & Drag - A giant duck walk 215kg is lifted and carried 15 meters and is placed in a steel
sledge. The sledge is then dragged back to the line. The fastest time or longest distance wins.
This is a head-to-head event
4 - Press Medley - Dumbell - 65kg - axle 110kg log 120 kg 100kg steel block fastest time wins.
5 - Beer Barrel Carry - 135kg filled beer barrel carried for a set distance. This is a head to head
event.
6 - Arm Over Arm - A rope pull event. We hope to pull a 4 X 4 & trailer or a motor home subject to
sponsor. This event takes place on grass over 20m distance.
7 - Squat - Each competitor lifts and squats with 210kg of steel train wheels. Highest number of
reps wins. No suits or power shorts. Belts and knee wraps are permitted.
8 - Stones of Strength - This is a head-to-head event where progressively heavier stones are lifted
onto a platform. A head-to-head finale event will take place whereby stones are lifted onto a 4ft x
10ft platform. Heaviest stone 160kg.
Knebøyen er økt til 210kg så da blir det spennende om jeg får opp 1 rep. Det er lov å bruke belte og bind på alle øvelser. I markløften er det lov med reimer og sumostance. Så da har jeg vel en smule bedre sjanse enn med konvensjonell mark. Håper jeg klarer å få opp 120 i stokk som tredje løft, det er jo bare 3,5 kg under maxen min. Duckwalk har jeg aldri trent og nå begynner jo gradvis deload mot konkurransen. steinserien , øltønne drag og conans wheel, burde være øvelser jeg kan hevde meg i.
